What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What do you currently do for work and/or school?: Assistant Director for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) Initiatives and Senior Academic Advisor
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: I would describe myself as a fun, adventurous, loving, caring, selfless, individual who encourages others to be their true authentic selves and is a total bad ass
What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about college access/readiness initiatives and programs. I am also passionate about helping the students I serve progress through their journeys. I also have a deep passion for dance.
Why is the representation of scholars of color important to you?: The representation of scholars of color is important to me because those that come after us need to see that there is a path that has been paved for them. Others need to see that there is diverse thought and processes and that society doesn't define who we are, we do.

Anything else you would like us to know?: In life, things may not always work out how you planned it, but it will always work out how it's supposed to. Allow yourself to feel and embrace the emotions, you are human. Once you're ready, pick yourself up, dust off those shoulders, do your favorite dance, straighten that crown, and realize that you were destined for greatness.
