What is Scholars of Color?

It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Massage Therapist, Tarot Reader, Creative Solopreneur, Student

Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: A magical being who loves helping people figure out their path in life, and encouraging them to stay committed to said path..

What are you passionate about?: Healing the self, performing arts, and sharing those things with others.

What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: Being beautifully melanated and educated in a world that doesn't want to see my excellence, but having the courage to show up anyway!!

Anything else you would like us to know?: I received my massage therapy training from Unitech Training Academy; graduated in November 2017, been practicing for a total of six years (including school training). I've read tarot for 13 years, self-taught, and presently offering readings professionally, while pursuing my transfer theatre and film degree at Pikes Peak State College!
