What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Artist with Broadway Advocacy Coalition at Columbia University.
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: A storyteller of Vida through the lens of performance.
What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about the truths of Vida. And how we as people can bring those stories to life through Arte. Through the embodiment of performance in poetry, dance, and music. I am passionate about these truths being brought to people as a means of creating change and cultivating awareness. I am passionate about storytelling for our youth so they remember, they will always be supported, loved, and cherished. We got them. We are here for them. At the root of my passion though, are my Ancestors. I am thankful for them and their prayers. Aquí estamos, con la fuerza de ellos.
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: What the representation of Scholars of Color means to me is, we are here. That in the midst of experiencing adversity, we are creating pathways for future generations to come. This means having the opportunity to meet and connect with other amazingly creative and inspiring people who are striving for the stars. I am beyond thankful for this community and all it has to offer. I know this will one day inspire a youth to continue pursuing their dreams and that to me, is everything.
