Scholars of Color- Viridiana Rodriguez
What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.
Let us now welcome Viridiana Rodriguez to the Scholars of Color space!
Name: Viridiana Rodriguez
Location: Long Beach, CA
Gender Pronouns: she/her/ella
What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Mental Health Therapist
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: Human who is healing parts of herself to become a better version everyday
What are you passionate about?: I’m passionate for individuals who are ready to love (amar) themselves a little more when life might be difficult.
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: Scholars of Color means to be your true self! To represent your culture, to share your story and inspire others. As a Latina therapist, in the therapy room we learn to love ourselves more, to break free from the unlovable core beliefs we learned in childhood, to question what is love and to believe we are lovable.
If people are interested in getting connected to you, how can they?: You can visit my website at www.amartherapy.com or DM at @amartherapy
Anything else you would like us to know?: We are not a one size fits all so get curious on what works for you in taking care of your mental health. Explore different healing modalities, I believe in holistic healing that takes into consideration the whole person-physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
Thank you Viridiana for sharing space with us!
