Scholars of Color is a dream come true. For years, Michael Lemus had wanted to build a platform in which scholars of color would be purposefully celebrated. He envisioned a space where scholars of color would be showcased front and center.
When he envisioned this project, he pictured a digital space where Scholars of Color feel empowered, resilient, and seen. He also envisioned a space where the word Scholar is redefined. Michael wants this word to be inclusive of people from all backgrounds, encompassing anyone that has something to teach or offer the world, regardless of degree status.
Now that Scholars of Color exists, Michael want us get to know each other. He wants us to cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.
