It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What do you currently do for work and/or school?: Police Training Officer
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: I would describe myself as an avid traveler, genuine, effervescent, driven, and one who loves people.
What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about making a difference and striving to be all I can be. I strongly believe that “to whom much is given, much is required”. I am, therefore, quite dedicated to motivating and supporting others as they move toward making their dreams and aspirations become reality.
Why is the representation of scholars of color important to you?: The representation of scholars of color is important to me because of our overall underrepresentation in academia. I believe it is important to see people who look similar to you in positions you aspire to hold. Individuals must have an understanding that past and current circumstances do not dictate their path or their destination. You can truly be anything you want to be when you stay focused and put in the work.
