What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What are you passionate about?: Education/Creating Systems of Empowerment/Social Justice/Organizing
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: Representation of Scholars of Color means to me the de-centering of Whiteness, Colonialism and Capitalism and the centering community, family and passion. It means entering any space, especially those that were not made for us, with our values, intentions and love close to our hearts. To me, Scholars of Color means being a role model for youth of color for they are our future.

Anything else you would like us to know?: As a Communist, Scholars of Color means creating pillars of empowerment so that youth of color are able to envision themselves in roles outside of the stereotypical and to envision a better world where we are liberated from all forms of oppression
