What do you currently do for work and/or school?: I own a business called Sekina’s Realm, a part time property manager, a Marketing consultant for Debt Play, and I work for T-Mobile
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: An artistic soul with a sincere passion for life and all things. Someone who cares, someone that loves everyone without thinking about it. Resilient, crazy, and gentle lol
What are you passionate about?: I’m really passionate about my business actually! I love providing healing tools to people and teaching yoga with my business partner Maria Alaya. We want to expand and help the whole world heal one day! ❤️
Why is the representation of scholars of color important to you?: Representing scholars of color is essential. People of color are underrepresented in academia and we are still considered a “minority” in higher education. The more love we pour into our communities and help lift each other up, we can dismantle social stigmas around POC and bring true equality to this planet. This is why I love this platform! We definitely need more like this as a collective.
