What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Student Affairs Manager at The Campaign for College Opportunity
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: A full-time uncle and education policy advocate who loves coffee, running, and making an impact in people’s lives.
What are you passionate about?: Running, elections, and public policy, as well as getting my community involved in the political process.
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: I believe that diversity in representation fosters inclusivity in every aspect of our lives. Not just the diverse people, but also the conversations we’re able to have because of our ability to exist and thrive in spaces that we have historically been excluded from.

Anything else you would like us to know?: I am profoundly excited about the power of youth engagement. Young people are the future, and we have the voice, numbers and strategy to drive the change we want to see today. My work in youth/student organizing has been foundational in my admiration of policy change, especially witnessing and harnessing youth power and voice to make change.
