What is Scholars of Color?

It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.):  PhD Student, Immigration Research Assistant

Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: I am a creative and passionate friend! I love helping others any way I can. Outside of my academic work, I enjoy creating content, making new friends through social media and learning from others.

What are you passionate about?: I’m passionate about self-growth! I am always working on being a better version of myself and I love seeing other people do the same. I get excited about reaching new limits and becoming more confident in myself and my abilities.

What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: I love seeing other scholars of color work hard for their dreams. It’s really motivating to hear people’s stories. I’m someone who gets inspired through storytelling so it is reassuring to know there’s a community of us.
