What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Teacher
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: I teach English at the secondary level to a diverse community of students, many who come from humble backgrounds & face many socioeconomic adversities.
What are you passionate about?: I’m passionate about education, grassroots community activism, art & culture, creating content & elevating Black, brown & other voices of color.
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: Scholars of Color create spaces for underprivileged & first generation students of color who have never had the opportunities to reach the bar let alone challenge themselves; they provide tools & resources for students from humble beginnings to be able to excel.

Anything else you would like us to know?: I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education & I am the co-advisor of my school’s gentlemen by choice club, community service club & our student advisory club!
