It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: husband, father, son, brother, first generation college grad, executive director
What are you passionate about?: In addition to being passionate about advancing racial equity in education, I am passionate about finding new ways to center peace in my life and the lives of others.
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: Scholars of Color is a beautiful representation of "mirrors and windows" in action -- while I believe IT IS possible to become something you've never "seen", I think opportunities for our communities to see into someone else's life (windows) and chances to see examples of someone who reflects your cultural, ethnic, or socioecnomic identity (mirrors) out in the world can be life changing and affirming. Scholars of Color is that...a chance to uplift windows and mirrors who are people of color in a positive light.
