Anything else you would like us to know?: Hello, My name is Blanca, and I am the creator of the @firstgensurvivalguide Instagram page! I’m a First Gen Transfer Student. I currently attend CSUF, and I transferred from Fullerton College. I created a space where First Gen Students like myself can connect and collaborate. As a First Gen Student, I needed support in various components, and the biggest one was COMMUNITY! I needed to be around others who understood and could relate to me. I needed to be seen and heard, so I found my community and have been growing it by building solid networks that will last beyond my college experience.

Thank you Blanca for sharing space with us!

Stay tuned everyone for more Scholars of Color profiles. Interested in being showcased yourself? Please email the Scholars of Color team at scholarsofcolor@reclaimingyourhappiness.com and we will get back to you shortly.
