Scholars of Color- Nadia Abreu
What is Scholars of Color?
It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.
Let us now welcome Nadia Abreu to the Scholars of Color space!
Name: Nadia Abreu
Location: NYC/CT
Gender Pronouns: she/her/hers
What's your current occupation? (i.e. Student, Scientist, Coach, In transition, etc.): Educator/Astrologer/In Transition
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: I would describe myself as nurturing, multifaceted, creative and sensitive.
What are you passionate about?: Educating others, astrology, and self development
What does the representation of Scholars of Color mean to you?: I grew up as a first gen eldest daughter and there was a lot that I needed to kind of navigate on my own and especially growing up in an area that lacked basically any diversity. So to me, Scholars of Color is an amazing platform that offers a space to show how diverse we are and all that we have to offer. To offer a network of community that looks like me and can relate to me is so important and I'm happy this space exists!
If people are interested in getting connected to you, how can they?: I'm on instagram and tiktok @selfloveastro
Anything else you would like us to know?: I offer birth chart readings and astrology workshops, I enjoy nature and hiking and really would love to see my skills as a teacher be able to transfer to a new career path that supports my mental and emotional health in the near future.
Thank you Nadia for sharing space with us!
