It is a platform in which scholars of color are purposefully celebrated. It’s a space where scholars of color are showcased front and center. It is a digital space where we feel empowered and resilient. Let us get to know each other. Let us cheer each other on AND show the world what we have to offer.

What do you currently do for work and/or school?: Chief of Staff for Mayor Hardie Davis, Augusta
Without positions or titles, how would you describe yourself?: The connector and problem solver
What are you passionate about?: Helping people and communities gain access to their government and resources
Why is the representation of scholars of color important to you?: For the most of my life I have been the only person of color or one of very few persons of color in classrooms and business tables. I don't believe that there are rooms people of color should not be in. We have been regulated to corners and shadows by the mainstream. Mainstream America has been sold a story that there are not qualified people of color to fill positions of influence. I know this is not factual but the people selling that narrative actually know it's not true as well. Everytime we can promote the strength and greatness of scholars of color, we must. Representation matters. We have the right to see ourselves in every space we desire to be.

Anything else you would like us to know?: I love what I do. Making connections, helping communities grow, and watching people learn how to advocate for themselves is why I get up every day. There's nothing better when you can assist in changing the narrative or outcome of a person/community.
